student.nielit.gov.in: NIELIT Student Portal Login, Exam Form, Admit Card & Result Guide

student.nielit.gov.in is NIELIT's official student portal — its full name is the Student Information and Enrollment System, built by the NIELIT headquarters IT team. Every NIELIT candidate uses it: for CCC, CCC+, BCC, ECC and ACC (NIELIT calls these DLC courses), and for O, A, B and C Level. Registration, exam form, admit card, exam centre, result and notices all live here. The certificate itself is downloaded from a separate site, certificate.nielit.gov.in.

This guide shows what each part of the portal is for, the exact order in which students use it, the mistakes that got candidates' exams cancelled in September 2026, and how to tell the real portal from the fake ones. It is written by Zed-King Group of Institute, Kaithal — a NIELIT Study Centre (ACCR-O3292) that files NIELIT forms for its students every cycle.

Two Kinds of Candidates on the Portal

The portal serves two very different groups, and most confusion comes from mixing them up.

If you study at an accredited centre such as Zed-King, the centre handles the DLC form for you, so you mostly use the portal for the admit card and the result. O Level and A Level students use it much more — every cycle, for every module.

Step 1 — Registration and Login

For O Level / A Level

1. Open student.nielit.gov.in — type it yourself, do not follow a link from WhatsApp.

2. Choose new registration for your course and fill your details exactly as on your 10th certificate — name, father's and mother's name, date of birth.

3. Upload a recent photograph and your signature (see the photo rules below — this is where most rejections start).

4. Submit, then activate the account from the link NIELIT e-mails you. Until it is activated you cannot log in.

5. Note your registration number and keep the e-mail and mobile number you used. The same mobile and e-mail are used later to download your certificate.

Forgot password?

Use the forgot-password option on the login page; the reset goes to your registered e-mail. If you no longer use that e-mail or number, do not create a second account — a duplicate registration causes more trouble than a lost password. Ask your centre to correct the contact details instead.

Step 2 — Exam Form (Every Cycle)

Registering once does not enter you for an exam. For each cycle you fill an Examination Form: log in, open your course, choose the modules (O/A Level) or the exam (DLC), pick the exam centre city, pay the fee online and download the submitted form. Keep that PDF — it is your proof if anything goes wrong later.

• O Level / A Level: January and July cycles. You can choose which modules to appear in, so you do not have to write all four together.

• CCC and other DLC courses: four cycles a year — March, June, September and December, each starting on the first Saturday. The December 2026 form closes on 31 October 2026; dates are in our CCC exam date 2026 guide.

Step 3 — Admit Card and Exam Location

Admit cards and exam locations are published on the portal and announced under Important Notifications. Two things surprise students every cycle:

• They come late. In the September 2026 CCC cycle, the first admit cards were released on 3 September for exams starting 5 September — two days before.

• They come in parts. NIELIT runs a cycle in batches and releases the admit card for each part separately — the September 2026 DLC cycle had Part-2 on 15 September and Part-3 on 22 September, and the O/A Level July 2026 practicals were still on Part-13 on 25 September. If your name is not in the first part, you are simply in a later one.

Step 4 — Result

Results are shown on the portal under View Result — select the course, the exam year and month, and enter your roll number with your date of birth exactly as on the admit card. A cycle's result is declared after all of its parts are over, not the day after you wrote your paper.

Step 5 — Certificate (a Different Website)

The single most common mistake: looking for the certificate on student.nielit.gov.in. NIELIT issues digitally signed e-certificates from certificate.nielit.gov.in:

1. Open certificate.nielit.gov.in and choose Regular as the certificate type (this covers ACC, CCC, BCC and O/A/B/C Level).

2. Select your course and exam, enter your roll number.

3. Verify with the code sent to your registered mobile or e-mail — the ones you gave at registration.

4. Download the PDF and keep a copy in your e-mail or Google Drive.

Mistakes That Got Exams Cancelled in September 2026

These are not guesses — each one is an official notice on the portal from the September 2026 cycle. Every one of them started at the registration or exam-form stage.

If your exam was cancelled, fix the document problem with your centre and apply in the next cycle — for CCC that is December 2026, form last date 31 October.

Common Portal Problems and Fixes

Real Portal vs Fake Portals

• The only official addresses are student.nielit.gov.in and certificate.nielit.gov.in — both end in .gov.in. Websites with "nielit" somewhere in a .com or .in address are not NIELIT.

• Checking results and downloading certificates is free. Nobody can "increase" a grade or issue a certificate without an exam.

• NIELIT does not send result or admit-card links on WhatsApp.
